The Meat & Wine Co Circular Quay NSW
The Meat & Wine Co. Safari reimagines an African village within Sydney’s CBD, blending traditional cultural elements with contemporary architecture. Centred on a reinterpreted Boma concept, heated booths surround a communal fireplace, fostering connection and storytelling in true African tradition. Natural materials, clay-inspired textures, and custom acacia trees with integrated sound and lighting create a sensory, immersive environment. A 17-metre steel mesh curtain frames the “village within the city,” while thoughtful details from recessed tables to multi-sensory walkways enhance comfort and interaction. The design embodies “form follows feeling,” offering guests a dining journey where tradition, community, and modern hospitality converge.
6HEAD Perth WA Australia
6HEAD Perth WA, located on the ground floor of Chevron Tower at Elizabeth Quay, is the second venue in Seagrass Boutique Hospitality’s portfolio. The design honours Australia’s history through storytelling, most notably a dramatic hemp-based printed curtain that frames the open kitchen as theatre. The curtain depicts two narratives: the escape and rediscovery of six black Cape cattle that saved the early colony from starvation, and Dutch explorer Willem De Vlamingh’s journey up the Swan River, reimagined through Aboriginal dreamscape influences. At the entrance, handcrafted cow heads woven from sisal and bark rope connect cultural traditions to the dining experience. Every element, from uniforms to menu design, was treated as part of a theatrical production, with guests arriving as lead actors through a processional ramp. Blending sustainability, artistry, and drama, 6HEAD Perth WA delivers an immersive dining experience that resonates with heritage and contemporary hospitality design.
Argyle House Camden NSW
Argyle House Camden transforms a fire-ravaged heritage site in Camden into a bold hospitality destination that fuses nostalgia with contemporary flair. Designed by COOOP..CO, the venue reinterprets Victorian architecture and colonial portraiture through playful art, vivid colour, and layered storytelling. Guests move through a sequence of refined spaces from a welcoming lounge bar to dynamic dining rooms, a dedicated bar, and private dining. Rich timbers and emerald tones meet bursts of acid yellow and candy pink, balancing elegance with irreverence. More than a restaurant, Argyle House is a living storybook, honouring Camden’s past while reshaping it into a vibrant, modern experience.
Vogue Café Sydney Darling Harbour NSW
Vogue Café Sydney is a sophisticated hospitality destination located beneath the W Hotel in Darling Harbour. Designed by COOOP in collaboration with Vogue Australia and Peter Wang, the café merges high fashion with a warm, welcoming dining experience.
The design blends bold visual elements—mirrored ceilings, curated artworks, and a dramatic staircase—with soft textures and natural light to create a sense of openness and elegance. Key principles of Design for Behaviour and Envirohacking guided the layout, encouraging intuitive movement and emotional comfort through thoughtful seating, framed views, and reflective surfaces.
Biophilic design elements, such as greenery and organic materials, add calm and contrast to the urban setting. Finishes including marble, brass, and custom floral tiles inspired by Vogue branding create a rich, luxurious feel.
The result is a visually striking yet functional space that embodies the Vogue ethos—offering not just a café, but an immersive, fashion-forward experience.
Hunter and Barrel Yas Bay Abu Dhabi
Hunter & Barrel Yas Bay brings a distinctive dining and bar experience to Abu Dhabi’s waterfront, blending rugged sophistication with modern elegance. Rooted in the brand’s philosophy of “design for behaviour,” the venue is crafted to encourage social connection, relaxation, and shared experiences. Rich materials dark wood, leather, and stone create a warm, atmospheric interior, complemented by custom furniture and ambient lighting. A striking stone bar anchors the space as a social hub, while flexible seating accommodates both intimate and communal dining. The result is a refined yet inviting environment that balances luxury with practicality, embodying Hunter & Barrel’s signature identity.
Five Guys Martin Place Sydney NSW
Five Guys Martin Place marks the brand’s fifth Australian location, bringing its iconic American burger experience to the heart of Sydney’s busiest business district. Perfectly positioned above the new Martin Place Metro, the restaurant serves both commuters and local professionals with easy access via northern and southern plazas. Staying true to its global identity, the design features signature red-and-white checkerboard tiles, bold red benchtops, warm timber accents, and walls lined with Five Guys’ history. Simple, recognisable, and welcoming, the space ensures the spotlight remains on its crave-worthy, made-from-scratch burgers and fries that have built a cult following worldwide.
The Meat & Wine Co Perth
The Meat & Wine Co Perth CBD, The Palace Hotel
In the historic heart of Perth, The Meat & Wine Co transforms the heritage-listed Palace Hotel into a vibrant African-inspired steakhouse. Built in 1897, the grand three-storey landmark now plays host to a dining experience where history and contemporary design meet.
Inside, the heritage ballroom becomes the stage for a 140-seat restaurant, where soaring ceilings, ornate plasterwork, and stained glass are reinterpreted with sculptural acacia tree installations, tribal-patterned fabrics, and bespoke furniture. Every detail reflects The Meat & Wine Co’s philosophy of Ubuntu community, connection, and shared experience bringing intimacy, warmth, and cultural storytelling to one of Perth’s most iconic settings.
